2025 Vending and Exhibitor Application: Pet Parade & Wiener Dog Derby. Sunday, February 23, 2025

Mardi Gras Inc. (MGI) is a non-profit organization created in a collaborative effort between the various stakeholders in Soulard to coordinate, organize, plan, administrate and raise money for Soulard Mardi Gras in St. Louis. MGI engages local, state, and federal agencies in organizing and planning the pre-Lenten events. 

Your business is invited to help "Let the Good Times Roll" by applying to be a vendor at the Purina Pet Parade and Tito's Vodka Wiener Dog Derby! Vending spaces will be sold in 10' x 10' increments in the festival footprint for the duration of the event. Vendors needing a 10' x 20' space, select 2 (10'x10') spaces. Vendors needing a 10'x30' space, select 3 (10'x10') spaces. And so on.

All equipment, supplies, booth materials, and selling activity must be confined to your allocated space. Electricity or lights will not be provided for vendor tents. Mardi Gras Inc. reserves the right to review all applications and make vendor decisions based on the need for products and the need to avoid oversaturation of similar products. No independent vendor will be granted exclusivity at any event during the 2025 Mardi Gras season. 

This application includes rules, requirements, and procedures to participate in the MGI Vendor Program. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be notified of your application status and accepted vendor requirements. Upon acceptance, you will receive an official vendor letter and requirements from MGI to begin securing permits for the festival. When you have obtained all the necessary paperwork from City and State departments, you will need to provide photocopy proof of those permits to MGI. After the MGI office receives proof of your permits and a copy of your liability insurance you will be issued a Mardi Gras vendors credential. All vendors must display both City permits and the MGI credentials in order to operate during events. All MGI deposit fees must be paid upon submission of this application and are non-refundable prior to participation in the event. This application will allow you to select the number of vending spots you'd like to apply for and to pay with a credit card.

Vendor participation fee: $750 before December 16, 2024
Price increases if fees are paid after December 16, 2024:

  • December 17 - January 20: $850
  • January 21 - February 3: $950
  • February 4 - February 12: $1,050

Note: Amount due is determined by date paid, NOT date of submitted application.

Additional Fees

Processing and Administration Fee: A 3.5% fee for integration of City and State entities will be applied to both online and in-person payments. 

Refundable Deposit: $200.00 per event day. This amount will be refunded after the conclusion of Mardi Gras if the area your booth occupied and the surrounding area was clean, grease/oil was properly disposed, you comply with the laws of the State of Missouri and the City of St. Louis, comply with all sponsorship agreements, follow all red zone vehicle guidelines, and obey the hours of operation, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. A violation of any one of these rules will result in a full loss of deposit.

Permitting

Upon acceptance into the program, Mardi Gras Inc will include include your information on the approved vendor list. 

Vendors are responsible for obtaining ALL permits needed for their business by the deadline set forth by respective departments.

I have selected the refundable deposit. I understand the deposit will be refunded only if I follow all rules and regulations set forth by Mardi Gras Inc.

I understand I am responsible for all permits needed for my vending space and agree to obtain them prior to the above listed deadlines.
